Electric trucks can deliver the same performance and functionality as a diesel or natural gas trucks while avoiding 100% of the deadly vehicle emissions. These trucks provide the best and only pathway to achieve our clean air goals. Our coalition is fighting to get zero-emission refuse and heavy-duty trucks into our communities so we can remove toxic air and noise pollution from our neighborhoods.
Electric Transit Buses
With the region’s biggest transit agencies all committed to stop using fossil-fuel powered buses by 2030, LA’s well on its way to a 100% all-electric bus fleet! Our Coalition applauds LA Metro, LADOT, and Santa Monica Big Blue Bus, which each responded to our community advocacy with leadership and vision. Zero emissions buses are improving the quality of life in urban communities by reducing pollution and creating new opportunities for meaningful employment.
Electric School Buses
As the best and cleanest transportation on the road, electric school buses are the only way to free our students from breathing dangerous fossil fuel fumes every day, with lasting improvements on student health and academic performance.
Clean Fleet Careers
Our transition to 100% electric buses and trucks will dramatically expand our clean energy economy by generating thousands of new career opportunities in transportation electrification. The burgeoning clean fleet economy creates a wide range of family-supporting careers, manufacturing electric buses and trucks and building the charging infrastructure needed to fuel them.
